Farmer-First Data Principles
Your farm. Your data. Transparent outcomes—no exposure of internal engines.
Core Principles
- • Ownership: Farmers retain ownership of all uploaded data & outputs.
- • Portability: Export tools (CSV / JSON) provided before general launch.
- • Deletion: Permanent deletion option—no dark retention.
- • Minimalism: Only necessary operational data collected—no hidden tracking.
Transparency
We explain features as outcomes (e.g., “identify disease early”) not algorithms. We never publish internal model weights, proprietary prompts, or engine graphs. IPO-safe disclosure: “We never publish algorithms, models, or engine details on this site.”
Security Approach
- • Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- • Role-based access separation (operations vs. engineering).
- • Audit logging for all access to farmer-identifiable data.
- • Regular third-party penetration tests (summary only published).
Data Usage Boundaries
- • No sale of individual farmer data.
- • Aggregated statistics may power regional agronomy insights.
- • Opt-out for any secondary research use.
Upcoming Controls
- • Self-serve API keys dashboard (Phase 2).
- • Field-level permission sharing (Phase 2).
- • Offline mode secure sync protocols (Phase 3).
